Recent concreting job carried out at Tesco Coventry for a new UFC slab.

The slab was 900m2 x 250mm thick consisting of form work, metal reinforcement with a power float to finish. 

MJC delivered this project to programme and within the two-week deadline.

This job was in the centre of Beaconsfield, a historical market town with a tight timescale and limited access. It was a new remodel carried out in full by MJC. This included full strip out back to brick, reinstatement of walls, ceilings and floors and all back of house rooms. 

Project was completed to a high standard and on time.

CAR duct works. 

MJC carried out the installation of new cold air ducts for the new refrigeration units on the shop floor. This required cutting and digging a large trench 750mm wide x 1000mm deep for the installation of a new 600mm x 600mm duct, in line with new fridge positions and into the under croft. The structural concrete floor slab was reinstated, and terrazzo was installed to finish. 

These works were phased over 10 weeks in line with the refrigeration installation. All works were completed on time to a high standard.

New Tesco Express store. 

This job involved turning an existing retail unit into a Tesco Express on Maidenhead High Street. It was a new acquisition store carried out in full by MJC. 

This project was completed on time to a high standard. 

Installation of new plant deck slabs. 

This was a fast-paced project due to restrictions on access for when the new refrigeration units had to be craned into position. The crane was only permitted to lift from the showground next door by a certain date due to upcoming events.

This meant we had four weeks from the start of the project –  with limited access to the side of the building – to remove a large embankment and build a retaining wall 70 metres long and install 7 large concrete slabs to support the new refrigeration units. 

This was carried out on time and ready for the crane lift.

Remodel of an existing Tesco Metro in the centre of Bournemouth. 

The entire 900m2 shopfloor sub straight was not fit for purpose and needed removing and reinstating. A new screed and Gerflor were installed, along with new drainage for refrigeration and a new warehouse wall. 

The full fit out was carried out to a high standard by MJC.
